The Quality of Our Life Depends on Our Ability to Feel the Quality of Our Emotions

Presence is the doorway. Breathwork, movement, and sound are the keys that unlock the body from the mind.

The quality of our life depends on our ability to feel the quality of our emotions. Here are three somatic tools to bring you into presence and begin the deepest healing.

The quality of our life depends on our ability to feel the quality of our emotions.

Read that again. It’s important. ☺️🙏🏽🤎

So how do we feel into the quality of our emotions?

We come into PRESENCE.

This moment.

Right here. Right now.

Getting OUT of our head.

To have presence we need to come into the body and out of mind.

Mind will want us to be 8 steps ahead, distract us from emotions and make meaning of every.single.thing.

Body will help us notice how emotions are showing up through sensations, tightness or expansion.

The body is what brings us into presence. In every aspect of life.

3 Tools to Come Into the Body

Breathwork

How we breathe often indicates how we feel. Deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which takes us out of fight or flight and into presence. There is a heightened focus and awareness we experience with deep breaths.

Movement

When we move our body we move energy, emotions and tension. We physically release the muscular and fascia systems where deep trauma and tension are held. Movement helps us become grounded in the moment. While unwinding, shaking or dancing free, there is little notice of thought other than how the body FEELS which can bring up emotions of joy or even sadness and grief.

Sound

There are two components here. External such as crystal bowls, music or drums. These change the energetic field and bring you into awareness of your surroundings and your senses.

“Sounding” your own voice. Moaning, sighing, screaming, speaking ... When you sound you are dropping deeper into the body. Which brings presence. Sounding for periods of time can bring up laughter, tears or rage that want to be moved through and felt.

Breathwork • Movement • Sound

These are tools for the deepest somatic trauma sexual healing.
